Hobbit Film Location &

Wildlife Sanctuary

Step into the lush pastures of the Shire™, as featured in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies.

Then check out the local wildlife and meet our most famous bird, the Kiwi.

Dinner tonight at one of the best views of the city.

Farming, Bees & Honey and Deer

Start your day with sheep shearing and dogs mustering sheep then a tour over a working farm to see some of the animals up close.

Next we visit the home of health and well being and learn about bees and their important role in nature and wellness and of course Manuka Honey!

Finish off the afternoon with a visit to the deer museum and some fun art.

Tonight we stay at  the beautiful Lake Taupo.

Water Activities and Thermal

Start the morning off with a majestic cruise of the grand Lake Taupo and then take a jet boat tour of the mighty Waikato.

Spend the rest of the afternoon with a visit to a spectacular showcase of New Zealand’s most colourful and unique geothermal elements sculpted by thousands of years of volcanic activity.

Enjoy a second night in Taupo tonight and dinner with a lake view.

Waikato Wonders

Today you will see the night sky during the day time!  Or something very close to it and much more mesmerizing. See a stunning glowworm display and learn about this interesting creature and the history of caving and early expeditions.

Then enjoy a traditional Kiwi BBQ lunch followed by one of New Zealand’s best kept secrets on a garden tour.
